Neil Saker is the IMF Resident Representative in Mongolia
He has worked at the IMF for over 16 years covering a wide range of countries and issues. Before coming to Mongolia, he was based at the IMF’s Headquarters in Washington D.C. where he was the mission chief to Timor-Leste. During 2001 – 2004, he lectured at the IMF – Singapore Training Institute in Singapore where helped to train Asian officials in macroeconomic and financial sector issues. Prior to joining the IMF, he was a Director and Head of Asian Economic Research at Societe Generale Investment Bank, based in Singapore and has worked at the Bank of England as an international economist. He holds degrees in international and development economics from the London School of Economics and the School of Oriental and African Studies, both University of London.
